Anne Martin Bio

My name is Anne Martin, and I teach 5th grade at Salem Elementary School. The children I work with are so loving and work so hard for me. Their smiles make me want to work harder for them.

In 1992, I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a degree in Elementary Education. In 1998, I graduated from Morningside College with a Masters Degree in Multicategorical Special Education. I continue to take classes to keep informed about what is in the best interest of the students.

I started teaching in 1992 - 1994 at Marquette Schools in St. Paul, Iowa. I took a job at Harmony Elementary School District in 1994 and have taught various grades from 3rd - 6th. I came to Salem in 2008 and have enjoyed working with the children, staff, and families here.

I love my family and close friends. My husband and our 3 children own a farm in Farmington, Iowa. We enjoy spending time together as a family and you can often see us playing outside or enjoying our favorite sports’ teams, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State, the Patriots, and Cowboys!
