About Ms. Graesing
Introduction:
My name is Ms. Allison Graesing. I grew up in Menomonee Falls, WI with my mom, dad, and younger brother. I now live in Burlington, IA. My family has two cats (Nala and Willow) and one dog (Jax) that I absolutely adore and wish I could have live with me. I graduated from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. I have a Masters Degree in Education with an Emphasis in Leadership and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with Endorsements in Reading and Special Education. I began my teaching career in WI in 2018; I was a substitute teacher in 9 districts. I then moved to Osceola, IA from 2019-2021 and taught 3rd Grade at Clarke Elementary School. I started in the Mt. Pleasant School District teaching 3rd Grade at Salem in the fall of 2021. I am really looking forward to collaborating with you this year!
School Information:
Snack/Treat Policy: I will not be having a designated snack time. You may send Birthday treats with your child, but they need to be peanut/nut free and pre-packed.
Work families can do at home to support student learning: Having your child read for 10-15 minutes at home each night. This could be a passage given to them or a book they are enjoying.
Practice their spelling words for 5 minutes each night.
Practice their math facts for 5-10 minutes each night. I recommend getting flashcards for all operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.)
Please feel free to reach out! I am here to best help you and your child succeed this school year!
